Welcome to Halstead High School! Whether you are new to our community or have been fortunate enough to be a Dragon before, we hope that your experience with Halstead High School is a positive one. Our building has approximately 250 students grades 9-12.

We are extremely proud of our students, teachers, and staff members. Our students excel both academically and with our wide variety of extra-curricular activities. We offer the type of small, personalized environment that students and patrons value in a community which strongly supports our schools. Students are taught by a faculty second to none, who are committed to connecting which each student and providing an education which prepares them to make positive contributions to society. We are dedicated to ensuring success during high school and helping students attain their post-secondary goals – whether those goals are attaining a college or technical degree, obtaining certifications needed for working after high school, or joining the armed forces.

We believe in the state’s vision and how success is defined – “A successful Kansas high school graduate has the academic preparation, cognitive preparation, technical skills, employability skills and civic engagement to be successful in postsecondary education, in the attainment of an industry recognized certification or in the workforce, without the need for remediation.”
