The students have been diligently baking and preparing various items for the upcoming KAYS food auction at this Friday's basketball game. Tomorrow night, during Pink Night, the students will sell all these items, with all proceeds being donated to Cancer Research.

HHS student Alexia Willcox presented to the BOE as a representative of the journalism classes about the National High School Journalism Convention.


Mrs. Farmer's class at Halstead High School generously assisted in crafting incredibly impressive Valentine's Day boxes for students at Bentley Primary School who may have been unable to make their own.

CKL Boys Wrestling @ Hoisington Information

In Algebra foundations class, the students engaged in an activity that involved solving a math problem using a race scenario. Two individuals were racing, with one moving at a speed of 2m/s and the other at 3m/s. To comprehend the length of the race, we utilized blocks as a model. This exercise served as an introduction to straight line graphs and the significance of slope.



Halstead Middle School Wrestling Schedule Update (Girls Only)
The Halstead Middle School girls wrestling team will travel to Newton this Thursday, February 8th, to compete in a dual against Chisholm Middle School. The event begins at 4:30pm.

This past weekend Jaerson Mumford, Brady Hill, Aden Armstrong, Brock Odendahl, and Mariah Swartz competed in the 6th Annual Wellington Powerlifting Meet.
Brady Hill placed 2nd in clean and 3rd overall in the 173lb men's division.
Aden Armstrong placed 1st in clean and 3rd overall in the 220lb mens division.
Brock Odendahl placed 1st in squat, 3rd in bench and clean and 2nd overall in the 173lb junior men's division.
Mariah Swartz placed 1st in clean and squat, 2nd in bench, and 1st overall in the 132lb women's division. She also won the women's best overall lifter award with a power to weight ratio of 4.72.
