Our annual Meet the Dragons Night is just around the corner on Tuesday, December 2. Mark your calendars and come out to enjoy a meal hosted by the Halstead Dragonbackers, and meet our 2025-26 winter activity participants!

KSHSAA Gameday Spirit Showcase Information

Come help us send off our Halstead High School spirit squads as they head to Topeka for the State Gameday Competition. We invite the community to line the streets at 4:00pm today to show your support.

Recently, members of the HHS KAYS spent the day at the regional conference collaborating with other students on a variety of leadership topics.

Today is the day! Please come out and support our cheer and dance teams as they participate in a community spirit showcase to share their state routines and gameday chants. the event begins at 7:00pm in the HHS main gymnasium.

Congratulations to Thea Boese on her signing with Tabor College, where she will continue both her academic and softball career. Well done, Thea!

FOOD DRIVE AND BLOCK THE DOOR COMPETITION

The HHS KAY Club is sponsoring a Food Drive and Block the Door competition November 17-21. Please see the flyer for more details.

HHS Spirit Showcase and State Sendoff Information

Please join us in supporting our Halstead High School cheer and dance squads on Wednesday, November 19, at 7:00 PM for a Spirit Showcase as they prepare for the State Game Day Competition beginning on Friday, November 21.

Additionally, the teams will depart from the high school on Thursday, November 20, at 4:00 PM. Let’s send them off in style as we welcome all parents and community members to join us for the send-off.

Halstead High School Announces 2025 Athletics Hall of Fame Inductees

Halstead High School is excited to announce this year's Athletics Hall of Fame inductees, Mr. Mark Meyer and Mr. Rod McGinn. They will be inducted on January 9, 2026, before the start of the boys varsity basketball game. Congratulations, Mark and Rod!

HHS JV Scholars Bowl Both JV teams brought home championships tonight! • The team competing at Marion went 4-2 in pool play, then defeated Newton in the semifinals and Hesston in the championship match. (First picture) • The team competing at Hutch Trinity went 4-0 in pool play, advanced to a final pool, and finished 2-1 to end the night 6-1 and earn the championship title. (Second picture)

HHS/HMS Weekly Activities

The Scholars Bowl team traveled to Moundridge for a 24-team tournament and brought home the championship! After finishing 3rd in their pool with a 2-3 record, the team battled through bracket play, going a perfect 4-0 to win it all and finish 6-3 overall!
