The HHS vs. Hays volleyball dual start time has been moved back an hour from its originally scheduled time of 4:00pm. The event will begin at 5:00 pm in the HHS gymnasiums.

REMINDER: Tomorrow is the Back to School Blast! 12-8pm at the Halstead High School. There will be Free Health Physicals 1:30-4pm by Health Ministries. Also once you complete you Back to School Blast Checklist you will receive your official Halstead Merch. (while supplies last)
HHS/HMS Athletic Physical Packet Information
Reminder that all individuals interested in participating in athletics during the 2023-24 school year, must have the sports physical packet completed and turned in by the Friday before the first day of practice. The first day of fall practices is Monday, August 14th. ALL DOCUMENTS MUST BE COMPLETED AND SIGNED BY ALL REQUIRED INDIVIDUALS to be eligible to participate.
2023-24 Sports Physical Opportunity Reminder
Health Ministries Clinic will be providing an additional opportunity for any HHS/HMS student who needs a sports physical for the 2023-24 school year. Their mobile clinic will be available at Halstead High School tomorrow from 1:30pm-4:00pm during the Back to School Bash. Appointments will be on a first come first serve basis. Please see the attached flyer for additional information.
A HUGE Thank You to our Food Service department for the Summer Meals Program. During the months of June and July we fed over $4,000 FREE meals. This program is vital for our students. Children frequently lose access to consistent, nourishing school meals when the school year ends. The Summer Meals Program makes sure more kids have access to sufficient nutrition for a healthy, active life.

ALL ACTIVITIES/ATHLETICS PARENT MEETING CLARIFICATION
The informational meeting is for all Middle/High School students that plan to participate in USD 440 sponsored activities/athletics during the 2023-2024 school year. It will occur on Tuesday, August 8th at 6:00 pm in the High School Auditorium. Following the meeting, breakout meetings for individual Middle/High School fall athletic/activity programs will occur in separate locations. Individual meeting locations will be communicated at a later time. Documents that require parent/participant signatures can be turned into the secretary located at the booth just inside the main entrance. We are looking forward to another successful year!
