Fall Athletics Buffer Week
Dates: November 7th-November 13th
All HHS athletic facilities will be closed for the mandatory KSHSAA buffer week.
HHS Boys/Girls Basketball Schedule Change
Due to a schedule conflict, the basketball games at Hillsboro on Friday, January 6th will not be played. As a replacement, Halstead will now travel to Bluestem on Saturday, January 7th. Games will begin at 4:30pm.
HMS 5th Grade Concession Stand Fundraiser 11/7/2022
In September, 5th graders did a STEAM project, Hurricane Houses, where they designed and constructed houses that could withstand the strongest hurricane winds. During this project we also tracked the hurricanes that were happening in Florida this year.
Since then, we’ve been keeping up to date on the damage from hurricane Ian and the effects the damage has on the state of Florida. As a service project, we came up with the idea to donate to the Florida Disaster Fund for Hurricane Ian. To accomplish this, we will be running the concession stand for the HMS basketball game on Monday, November 7th.
HERE’S HOW YOU CAN HELP WITH THE CONCESSION STAND - If you can, make 2 dozen cookies or brownies and individually bag them with 2 cookies in each bag. You can send the cookies to HMS on Monday. Any leftover cookies will be added to our afternoon snacks. Please reply to this message if you can make cookies for our concession stand.
We will keep you posted on how much money we made. We’re excited for our 5th grade students to make a big impact on a state that has suffered so much destruction.

Congratulations to Aiden and Addisen on a strong season. Addisen completed the season with a top 50 finish. Aden completed his season with a PR of 17:11 and 27th place finish.
