HOCO

Halstead High School is celebrating fall homecoming this week with spirit days and other activities.

Students had Monday off as a professional development day.  Tuesday was time travel day where freshmen dressed as babies, sophomores were toddlers, juniors were adults, and seniors were senior citizens.  During lunch, we celebrated Tasty Tuesday by handing out ice cream sandwiches and popsicles to all students.

Wednesday was Minion day.  Students also had the opportunity to participate in Capture the Dragon.  Thursday was Barbenheimer day.  Students could dress as a character from the movie Barbie or Oppenheimer.  Students voted for the king and queen as well as had a bonfire in the evening.

Friday is blue and white day to show school spirit.  There will be a school-wide cookout, Battle of The Classes in the afternoon and then a pep assembly during the day.

Homecoming king and queen will be crowned before the football game against Hillsboro.  Queen candidates are Rylee Carmichael, Mya Morris, and Dominique Schutte.  King candidates are Tucker Divine, Brady Hill, and Daniel Kimball.

There will be a dance for students immediately following the football game.
